Yadichinma Ukoha-Kalu
Born in 1995 in Lagos, Nigeria. She lives and works in Lagos.
Yadichinma Ukoha-Kalu is a Nigerian conceptual artist.
She shows her work for the first time at the Woman in Bloom exhibition at Freedom Park in Lagos (Nigeria). In 2016, she presented her work at the collective exhibition The Young Contemporaries (Lagos).
In 2017, a personal exhibition is dedicated to her at the Wafflescream Skate Shop (Lagos). For her first international exhibition, she took part in the collective exhibition A Painting Today at the Stevenson Galery (Cape Town, South Africa).
Influenced by European surrealist movements and by the construction of language, Yadichinma Ukoha-Kalu produces “landscapes” with organic forms which, like samples, engage the viewer with a sensitive and conceptual experience.
