The ORISHA African Contemporary Art Award is an international prize that aims to reveal, and support contemporary artists from sub-Saharan Africa living or not in Africa. Because we are also committed to the experience of the territory, beyond the origins, we also accept candidates who have lived in Africa, if this affects their relationship to art.

A selection committee that is renewed in part each year appoints running artists.
A jury of professionals also renewed in part or in full, designates the winner.
These two entities, Committee and Jury, are composed of French and foreign experts from the world of art and culture.
This ensures that the ORISHA Prize renews its artistic point of view.
